Important limitations
  • Delivery and ordering platforms differ in whether they permit third-party menu updates. Some provide an API, some do not, and this is confirmed per platform before scoping.
  • POS menu structures are often not directly compatible with how a menu is presented to customers, so a mapping step is usually required.
  • Printed menus still need reprinting. The workflow can produce a print-ready version, but it cannot change paper.

Security and privacy considerations

  • Menu editing is restricted to nominated staff, since pricing changes affect revenue.
  • Change history is retained so a disputed price can be traced.
  • Platform credentials are stored in a secrets store with the minimum permissions required.
